Jury is still out on this one. But I can report that max supported sample rate is 96kHz at 24bit, 2channels connected to a PC. Connected it to a Samsung smart TV and 5.1 analog surround amplifier. And I must say it performs really well. No noticable additional noise from the converter.

Fast delivery. I did not understand how to start the sound from the TV channel through optics. From the player all norms. The sound is not clear, the stereo is noticeable, but 5.1 is some kind of porridge😕Okay, I’ll figure it out. Dance with a tambourine has not yet been canceled🤕

The decoder for this price is good, suitable for watching movies with 5.1. Does not heat up practically. As they already wrote in the comments, throw the complete 5 V power supply into the trash heap, with it phonite. Connected 5 V power supply from an old TV set-top box and the background disappeared.

I liked everything, everything works. Let the sound from the computer from YouTube through the Jack 3.5 wire to the decoder, from the decodor to the home theater. Very good sound turned out!

I use together with vontar X3 on optics. Everything works. At a high volume level, there is a rumble on the bottom, but not critical, perhaps due to a cheap complete cable. For 5.1 in the player, you need to choose a pass throw or a similar option. By default, the TV box always gave out stereo and on YouTube a lot of 5.1 rollers are not, be careful.
